Leverage (2x - 100x)

Leverage allows traders to trade with borrowed funds to increase the potential return of a trade. When a trader uses leverage, they are able to control a larger position in the market than their own capital would allow, with the aim of generating a higher profit.

For example, if a trader has $1,000 in their trading account and uses leverage of 10:1, they would be able to control a position worth $10,000 in the market. If the position generates a profit of 5%, the trader would earn $500, which is five times the return they would have earned without leverage.

Margin Modes

Account Margin: Account Margin is also known as margin balance or account equity, it refers to the amount of funds a trader has in their trading account that is available to use for trading. Account margin is calculated by subtracting the amount of margin being used for open positions from the total account balance.

Isolated Margin: With isolated margin trading, a trader can allocate a certain amount of their available margin to a specific trade, limiting the potential loss to the amount of margin allocated to that trade. This is in contrast to cross-margin trading, where the margin used for all open positions is combined, and a loss on one position can potentially impact the margin available for other positions.

Fair Price Marking

Mark price, also known as the fair price or reference price, is a weighted average of the prices of the asset across multiple exchanges or platforms, with the goal of providing an accurate reflection of the current market value. This is particularly important for derivative contracts that are settled based on the price of the underlying asset at a specific time or date.

This feature plays an important role in derivatives trading by providing a transparent and accurate reflection of the current market value of an underlying asset.

Insurance fund

Insurance fund is a safety net to avoid auto deleveraging in trader's positions. When liquidations are executed at a price better than the bankruptcy price of that particular position, the difference is added to Insurance fund. Likewise, when liquidations incurs a loss, it is offset using the Insurance Fund.

This feature helps to protect traders and investors from the risks associated with leveraged trading and can help to promote a more stable trading environment.

Auto-deleveraging (ADL)

Auto-deleveraging is a risk management mechanism for unfortunate events like high volatility in the crypto markets.

When a trader's position is closed with negative equity and the insurance fund is insufficient to cover the negative equity, our ADL system will automatically deleverage the opposing position from the trader with the highest profitable position, at the bankruptcy price of the liquidated order.
